About Hacker Notes

Hi, my name is Nicholas and Hacker Notes is my personal blog. The blog is a collection of practical things I’ve picked up through my work in software, as well as writings on other subjects like travel, investing and art. When it comes to programming, my work and my writing is overwhelmingly concerned with seeking minimal, pragmatic solutions to problems.

I have been putting my philosophies into practice while working with New York startups since 2011. Since 2018, an increasing amount of my focus has been on startup investing, mostly in seed stage deals. To the companies I invest in I can offer my domain expertise in software solutions and infrastructure as well as the extensive network that I built up over a decade of working with (largely New York City-based) startups.
